discussion可數嗎[朗讀]

如果強調開了一個討論會，常為可數名詞，例：a heated discussion about sth。但表示議論，爭辯時常為不可數名詞。例：the incident caused much discussion among the public.這件事在公眾中議論紛紛。

1、表示「討論」，若指一次討論活動或一次討論會等具體意義，是可數的。如：
they entered into a long discussion.他們開始一段長時間的討論。
we are having a discussion.我們在討論問題。
若指抽象意義的討論或指討論的動作或狀態等，則通常為不可數的。比較：
further discussion would be pointless.繼續討論是無意義的。
there is little time for discussion.沒有什麼時間進行討論了？
有時還可受some,much等的修飾。如：
after much discussion they decided to accept our offer.經過充分的討論，他們決定接受我們開的價。
the agenda was adopted after some discussion.經過討論，議事日程獲得通過。
2、其後接介詞of，表示動賓關係;discussion of sth在意義上相當於discussing sth。如：
we started in on a discussion of the idea.我們開始討論那個意見。
she tends to sheer away from any discussion of her divorce.一談到她離婚的'事她就儘量轉換話題。
有時也接介詞 on,about,over 等，含有「關於」的意味。如：
we had [held] a discussion with her about it.對此我們同她進行了討論。
we had a long discussion about polities.我們對政治問題進行了長時間的討論。
3、用於 under discussion(正在討論中)，其中不用限定詞。如：
that has no relation to the matter under discussion.這和討論的問題沒有關係。
the plan is under discussion.=the plan is being discussed.該計劃正在討論當中。
4、有時可置於名詞前作定語。如：
our discussion group is [are] meeting this week.我們的討論小組本周開會。
dan davies has been chosen to front a new discussion programme.丹·戴維斯獲任主持一個新的討論節目。
